Valentina, who recently went through a difficult divorce process, inherits her mother's bookstore and flat in London. A young woman leaves California for Britain to find out who her mother really was and to fill in the white spots in her memories with answers to painful questions. Valentina falls in love with a cozy shop and an apartment with pastel-colored walls, which she inherited, until she suddenly discovers that the bookstore is about to go bankrupt. Therefore, she decides to do everything possible to save the shop, because only here can you find out why her mother left her. Suddenly, a woman comes across a series of mysterious notes in a book, and this becomes the beginning of a search that will tell her about the past and allow her to learn more about her mother and start a new life, coming to terms with all the grievances and losses.
